Janet Leigh

Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza, born June 26th, 1984 is an actress and comedian well-known for her characteristic deadpan sense of humor. She is the character April Ludgate on "Parks and Recreation." After performing sketches and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Plaza was the first to make her web show debut on "The Jeannie Tate Show." Later, she would perform in Juddah Apatow's "Funny People" and "Scott Pilgrim and. the World" later in her career. It's her birthday! Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of financial expert David Plaza and attorney Bernadette Plaza, was born in Wilmington Delaware. She is a Puerto Rican and her mother is Irish, English and Irish. Plaza graduated from a Catholic all-girls high school in 2002, and then from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006. As a high-school senior she was leader of the Wilmington Drama League and a member of its student government. Plaza suffered a stroke in 2004, when she was enrolled in her final year of her career. She developed expressive aphasia and suffered briefly involuntary paralysis. She has now recovered.
