Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. The money she earned came from the student allowance, and relied off on a part-time job to supplement her income. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents were inferior to those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other routes she could choose. Lennox was initially a flute-player within the band Dragons Playground. She left the band shortly before their appearance in I.T.V's talent show New Faces. From 1977 to 1980 she served as the lead vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop group. It was here that she met Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut record Diva. It came out in 1993. The album had a tremendous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. is the companion album of her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You Go... It's also her first independently released album.
